Coworking Space General Terms & Conditions (All Users)
Effective Date: January 14th, 2026
Space: 333 E Main Street, Suite 203, Johnson City, TN 37601 (“Space”)
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all members, day-pass users, guests, and anyone accessing or using the Space (“User”). Private office tenants may have additional terms that control if there’s a conflict.
1) Access Hours & Entry
General Access Hours: Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. No access on Sundays unless expressly authorized in writing.
The Space may close temporarily for maintenance, emergencies, weather, or special events.
Entry methods (key, fob, code, app, etc.) are for the registered User only and may not be shared.
2) Parking
Users are responsible for their own parking.
Recommended: on-street parking or public parking lots. Do not block loading zones, fire lanes, or reserved spaces.
3) Check-In / Use of Space
Users must check in as required by the Space (front desk, app, kiosk, etc.).
Seating is first-come/first-served unless you’ve reserved a specific seat/room.
The Space is for professional, lawful work activities. No residential use.
4) Cleanliness & Care Standards
Leave it better than you found it. Clean up your workspace, dishes, spills, and any mess you create.
Food is allowed only in designated areas (if applicable). No strong odors that disrupt others.
Trash must be placed in designated bins/areas. Recyclables must be sorted if bins are provided.
If extra cleaning is required due to your use, you may be charged a cleaning fee.
5) Noise, Conduct, and Community Standards
Be respectful: keep calls at a reasonable volume and use phone booths/meeting rooms when available.
No harassment, discrimination, threats, or aggressive behavior—toward staff or other users.
No solicitation that disrupts the Space (e.g., pitching members without invitation).
The Space may set additional house rules (posted or emailed) and Users agree to follow them.
6) Technology & Internet Use Standards
Internet is provided as-is and may occasionally be interrupted.
Prohibited:
Illegal downloading, hacking, scanning, or attempting to access other devices/accounts.
Activities that degrade the network (e.g., running servers/mining crypto, sustained high-bandwidth uploading, rogue hotspots interfering with Wi-Fi).
Connecting unauthorized network hardware without permission.
Users are responsible for their own device security, backups, antivirus, and data protection.
The Space is not liable for loss of data, downtime, or business interruption.
7) Room/Resource Booking Rules (if applicable)
Conference rooms and other bookable resources must be reserved through the Space system.
Users must start/end on time. Repeated overages may result in fees or booking restrictions.
Cancel/no-show policies may apply (posted in the booking system).
8) Guests & Visitors
Guests may be allowed only if registered/checked in per Space policy.
Users are responsible for guest conduct, damages, and compliance with these Terms.
The Space may limit guests for capacity, safety, or member experience.
9) Safety, Security, and Prohibited Items
Follow posted safety rules, including maximum occupancy signs.
Do not prop exterior doors open or allow “tailgating” (letting others in without authorization).
Prohibited: weapons in violation of law or posted policy, illegal drugs, hazardous/flammable materials (beyond normal office supplies), and any illegal activity.
Smoking/vaping is not permitted inside the Space.
10) Personal Property, Lost Items, and Damage
Users are responsible for their personal property. The Space is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.
Report damage immediately. Users may be charged for damage beyond ordinary wear and tear caused by them or their guests.
11) Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds (General)
Fees, membership dues, and pass rates are as posted or agreed in writing.
Memberships/passes are non-transferable unless explicitly stated.
Refunds are not guaranteed and follow the Space’s posted refund/cancellation policy (or the written agreement for your membership type).
12) Removal, Suspension, and Termination (The “Don’t Make It Weird” Clause)
The Space may deny entry, remove a User, suspend access, or terminate membership immediately (with or without refund, depending on the situation and applicable law) for reasons including:
Unsafe behavior, harassment, threats, or repeated disruption
Nonpayment or chargebacks
Damage to property, theft, or misuse of access credentials
Illegal activity or violation of these Terms or posted rules
Excessive complaints that are credible and verified by staff
If removal occurs, Users must leave promptly and peacefully. Law enforcement may be contacted if needed.
13) Privacy & Cameras
The Space may use security cameras in common areas for safety. Cameras are not intended for private areas (e.g., restrooms).
Users should not record others without permission. Video calls should be conducted respectfully.
14) Photo/Media Use
The Space may photograph/film events or common areas for marketing. If you prefer not to appear, notify staff and we’ll reasonably accommodate.
15) Liability Disclaimer
Use of the Space is at your own risk. The Space is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages except where required by law.
Users are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance for their business and equipment.
16) Changes to Terms
The Space may update these Terms and house rules. Continued use of the Space after notice constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
17) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Venue for disputes will be the appropriate court in or near Washington County, TN, unless otherwise required by law.
